What You Will Do:


The Retail Associate assists in the  operations of the Girl Scout Shop, servicing the Girl Scout membership and the  public.


How You Will Lead:


* Assist customers (walk-in, phone, web orders and mail orders) in selecting Girl Scout merchandise. 

* Assist in maintaining the appearance of the Shop. 

* Assist in daily shop upkeep and stock functions- including computer/ data entry, marking merchandise, restocking merchandise.

* Responsible for opening and closing the Shop. 

* Assist in the sale of merchandise at special events on/off site. 

* Inform and update the Manager of Retail Sales of any items that will benefit the operation of the Shop.

* Assists at Front Desk: reception, customer service, provides information.

* Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. 

* Develops a depth of knowledge regarding the design of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and can easily articulate to any stakeholder the virtues of the organization. 

* Participates in diverse community and cultural events and  programs.

* Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and amongst the  membership.

* Seek and accept opportunities for professional growth and development.

* Other duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of GSCI.

Requirements

  

What We are Looking For:


· High School diploma required. 

· One year of customer service or retail  sales experience, preferred. 

· Basic cashier operations. 

· Customer service friendly.

· Customer, volunteer, and girl focused.  

· Merchandise management.
