Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH) is currently hiring a Manager, Surgical Services!

This is a Full-Time position with great benefits!

Position is located in Norfolk, VA.

Serving as a destination medical center in the Mid-Atlantic region, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is one of just five Level 1 trauma centers in Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance, region’s first Magnet® hospital and nationally ranked heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital.
 

Job Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility and accountability for operations and success.

• Responsible for the delivery of high quality services which meet or exceed customer expectations.

• Position is responsible for safe management of patients throughout perioperative experience.

• Serve as mentor by role modeling a professional practice consistent with surgeon expectations, organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, patient safety and clinical standards of care.

• Manage 7 direct reports and oversight of approx. 125 indirect reports

• Scope include the following specialties: General/ENT/Trauma, Vascular/Podiatry and GYN/Eyes/Plastics/Orientees 

• Hiring of RNs including their Call schedule and Holiday schedule

Job Requirements:

• Required Education : RN-Bachelor's Level Degree

• Experience: Operating Room- 3 years; Supervisory- 3 years

• Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse

• Master's level degree in nursing preferred.

• Preferred experience in General, Trauma, Neuro and Ortho
