Custom Connect, the dialogue company!</p><p> </p><p><strong>About the role:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our core applications and contribute to the evolution of our technology stack. You will be responsible for leading technical projects, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable PHP applications using modern frameworks.</p></li><li><p>Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with internal and external clients, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and deliver solutions.  </p></li><li><p>Lead technical projects, including code reviews, architecture discussions, and deployment planning.</p></li><li><p>Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical expertise and support.</p></li><li><p>Optimize application performance and ensure high availability.</p></li><li><p>Implement and maintain automated testing (unit, integration, and functional).</p></li><li><p>Work with relational databases MSSQL</p></li><li><p>Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.</p></li><li><p>Stay up-to-date with the latest PHP trends and technologies.</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.</p></li><li><p>Participate in agile development processes.</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Competitive salary.</p></li><li><p>Opportunity to work on challenging and impactful projects.</p></li><li><p>Collaborative and supportive work environment.  </p></li><li><p>Opportunities for professional growth and development.</p></li><li><p>Hybrid workplace at one of our locations in the Netherlands or South Africa or work from home.</p></li></ul><p> </p><p></p> <h3>Requirements</h3> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).</p></li><li><p>5+ years of professional experience in PHP development.  </p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.</p></li><li><p>Extensive experience with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in database design and development MSSQL</p></li><li><p>Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.</p></li><li><p>Experience with cloud platforms like Azure Web and SQL Services</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  </p></li><li><p>A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.</p></li></ul><p></p>
