Physical Therapy Assistant

CORA Services, recipient of a TOP WORKPLACE WOMEN-LED CULTURE EXCELLENCE AWARD in 2021 and 2023, is committed to developing and sustaining a culture that supports, promotes, and values its employees.  Our School Services Division is currently seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to work in the Philadelphia schools we serve.  This position is school-based and is a 10-month position.   The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide services to students eligible for related services. They will help improve, develop, restore or maintain a child’s sensory motor function in educational environments.

Starting Salary: $52,600/year

Salary increases based on additional credentials and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Uphold the mission, vision, and values of CORA Services, which includes valuing all individuals, supporting the individual’s potential for growth, and enhancing a pragmatic service system approach.

• Participate in meetings as member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide direct and indirect physical therapy in educational settings/least restrictive environments to children.
• Collaborate with other school personnel regarding physical therapy and the students' needs.
• Delegate activities to teachers, parents, and paraprofessionals.
• Train/instruct teachers, parents and paraprofessionals in delegated techniques and equipment use.
• Travel to and among schools to provide services.
• Lift, transfer, and position children and equipment as necessary.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates degree from an accredited program for physical therapy assistants; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a physical therapy assistant in PA or NJ; both are preferred.
