Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering SMTS in Palo Alto, CA:

Job Duties: Lead the design and implementation of new features. Develop services/features/platforms, using Agile development methodologies. Understand what it takes to write software that is used by thousands or millions of people. Develop deep domain knowledge and support and guide team member. Understand and advocate for our team’s mission and help build Tableau by participating in hiring loops. Work with a variety of languages throughout Tableau Server, including Java, C++, Bash scripts, Python, and more. Work with strong concentrations on Linux, Docker, Kubernetes. Work in the public cloud, especially AWS. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field. A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Gathering and identifying project requirements to develop technical solutions that meet customer and stakeholder expectations; (2) Developing software in a GNU Linux/Unix environment; (3) Developing and deploying software with the Docker container framework, including converting existing enterprise software to work in Docker containers.; (4) Managing the delivery of technical projects from design to release, including customer interaction and post-release management; (5) Administering and configuring software development tools, including configuring Firewall settings, interfaces, and technical settings; (6) Java; (7) Python; (8) Kubernetes. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $199,534.00 - $236,500.00 per annum.
