Security Guard’s primary responsibilities are to carry out tasks that provide safety and security to the campus associates, students, and guests. Part-Time Schedule:
This position offers a consistent part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, working:
Monday – Thursday: 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM
- Pay Rate: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas
- Ensure students and guests have proper credentials for accessing buildings to include issuing guest badges
- Directs guests to the front desk or Dental Hygiene Clinic
- Observe premises for unwelcome visitors
- Opens building in the morning
- Keeps a daily security log and completes incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
- Monitor alarms and security cameras
- Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly
- Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed.
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly including alerting the Campus President of security issues
- Interacts with parking lot security managed by landlord on potential issues
- Stays on premises until evening guard arrives for transition
- During COVID
- Ensures students and associates have obtained a digital Green Card
- Has guests complete a paper version of the questionnaire
- Alerts the Campus President of students or associates attempting to enter the premises with a Red Card
- Checks for temperature alerts
- Ensure students, associates, and guests, abide by the current mask policy
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years as a security guard
- Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations
- Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed
