Security Guard

Security Guard’s primary responsibilities are to carry out tasks that provide safety and security to the campus associates, students, and guests.  All Concorde associates are required to display professionalism and uphold Concorde’s Mission and the core values of respect for the individual, integrity, teamwork, customer service, and achievement.

Part-Time Schedule:

 

This position offers a consistent part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, working:

• Monday – Thursday: 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM

 

• Pay Rate: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour 

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas
• Ensure students and guests have proper credentials for accessing buildings to include issuing guest badges
• Directs guests to the front desk or Dental Hygiene Clinic
• Observe premises for unwelcome visitors
• Opens building in the morning
• Keeps a daily security log and completes incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
• Monitor alarms and security cameras
• Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly
• Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed.
• Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly including alerting the Campus President of security issues
• Interacts with parking lot security managed by landlord on potential issues
• Stays on premises until evening guard arrives for transition
• During COVID
  • Ensures students and associates have obtained a digital Green Card
  • Has guests complete a paper version of the questionnaire
  • Alerts the Campus President of students or associates attempting to enter the premises with a Red Card
  • Checks for temperature alerts
  • Ensure students, associates, and guests, abide by the current mask policy
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

• 2-3 years as a security guard
• Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations
• Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed
