Group Enrollment Material Support Team Manager
Position Summary:
The Group Enrollment Material Support Team Manager will serve as one of the team managers of the GEMS Team. This individual will be responsible for monitoring workloads, ensuring requests are being completed within the established time periods, reviewing work to ensure it is accurate, providing coaching/training to the team on new processes or gaps, and supporting overflow excess enrollment requests — maximizing enrollment results.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Full ownership of capacity planning, productivity metrics, case work assignment, and training for Enrollment Fulfillment Analysts.
- Drive personal growth and development with the team.
- Partner closely with Marketing in developing and updating templates to best fit the needs of our clients and customers.
- Partner to develop new enrollment tools and enhance existing capabilities. Lead testing on systems.
- Lead projects aimed at driving efficiency and scaling the team’s capability — creating innovative solutions to support an increased volume of clients.
- Maintain detailed and accurate training documentation including Standard Operating Procedures to support the GEMS Team.
- Create and maintain Smartsheet forms, sheets, reports and dashboards.
- Serve as a liaison to the Enrollment Solutions Leader to maintain visibility into their key initiatives.
- As needed, support requests during high volume by taking the lead in development and review of all enrollment materials.
- Ensure all templated marketing materials are updated and comply with New York Life Branding and Compliance guidelines.
- Work with Distribution on customized and unique client solutions (as needed) to support critical enrollment needs for high-profile key accounts. Provide training to optimize our partnership with Distribution.
- Collaborate closely with matrix partners to help ensure operational readiness, efficiencies, and proper handoffs between business areas.
- Own relationships with external vendors used for enrollment fulfillment, including ongoing maintenance.
- Partner with Enrollment Consultants, Enroller Support Team, and other internal Enrollment Solutions members to create and drive efficient engagement.
- Provide Q&A on requests from our Enrollment Consultant Team.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is recommended.
- 5+ years of ancillary and voluntary products experience is recommended.
- Strong ability to deliver conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to develop detailed documentation and business requirements to support new processes and systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively — establishing and driving initiatives with matrix partners across the organization. Must be a go-getter.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with strict adherence to timelines and dynamic priorities.
- Experience using critical thinking and problem solving to navigate complex processes and ambiguity.
- Brings strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong technical capabilities with the ability to write programming requirements and support testing within data systems and operational processes required.
- Ability to train and manage employees throughout the nation in remote settings.

Salary range: $72,500-$85,000
