What You Will Do:

As a Remote EH&S Principal Generalist you’ll support the introduction and management of Environmental, Health and Safety programs at Raytheon small and remote locations located throughout the United States as well as internationally. In this role, you’ll also support training of program staff on RTX Raytheon, OSHA and other EH&S regulatory compliance subjects.

Working in remote facilities both domestic and internationally, you’ll use your ability to productively work alone and unsupervised for extended periods.  Additionally, you’ll use your familiarity working with U.S. and foreign military customers in and around military hardware and environments.

This position is responsible for ensuring Raytheon’s compliance to applicable safety and environmental standards and may include the need to provide training for internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the job will require domestic and/or international travel, including travel aboard military-owned assets and occasional travel to remote or austere environments.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively ensuring that workplace conditions and employee practices comply with applicable federal, state or local occupational safety and health standards
  • Managing accurate reporting of metrics preparation (including labor charging and timekeeping)
  • Risk and incident report generation
  • Periodic safety auditing of customer and internal processes as needed
  • Working in locations with dynamic weather or temperature extremes and sit or stand for extended periods of travel or field work
  • Ability to lift 28 pounds unassisted

Travel: 25-50% to Raytheon site locations domestically and internationally, including: Europe, Middle East, Far East, Pacific Rim Countries and Africa

This job is posted as REMOTE.  No relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience working with OSHA and/or EPA standards in a military or civilian environment  

Qualifications We Prefer: 

  • Military service background
  • Professional certification in safety or related field, (ASP, CSP, CIH, RS, CHMM)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in STEM or related field
