About the team

The Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) team ensures Worldpay meets its data governance and compliance goals while supporting the Agile Intake Processes.  The team enables the data function to quickly adapt to Worldpay’s changing requirements, optimize their business decision making through accurate and reliable data, and play the critical role of ensuring we are compliant with relevant regulations such as SOX, PCI-DSS, privacy, and security regulations.

This role supports the responsible use initiative, focusing on establishing a robust data risk framework and defining clear guardrails for the responsible use of data and AI.  It also involves contributing to strategic data governance projects across Worldpay.

What you’ll own

  • Implement processes and procedures and contribute to executing the strategic goals of the Responsible Data & AI Use team

  • Cultivate and embed a strong responsible data and AI  use culture across the company.

  • Support partnerships with Second Line Risk Management stakeholders to govern the enterprise data risk management framework and related policies and processes

  • Assist with writing and promoting adoption of data risk and responsible use and AI governance policies, standards, and guidelines

  • Assist the business with responses to customer compliance-specific questions and concerns.

  • Support  delivery of a contract metadata governance capability.

  • Document data governance workflows, playbooks, standards, guidelines, taxonomies, operating procedures, and corporate data policies.

  • Create business and functional requirements documents and logical solution designs.

  • Assist with preparing strategic Executive-level presentations and associated documentation.

  • Works with cross-discipline teams to understand privacy, legal, and ethical considerations in the use of AI/machine learning.

  • Document risk analysis and controls and evaluate control design and continuous control improvement

  • Participate in projects to mitigate risks including generating action plans for issues/gaps.

  • Ensure effective and complete data and AI use review processes documentation

  • Actively support data governance and compliance initiatives, including adherence to enterprise data, security and privacy policies.

  • Advocate for data governance and management practices across Worldpay.

Where you’ll own it

You’ll own it in our thriving North America region hub.  While we’re a large team of Worldpayers based in North America, we have collaborative spaces and regular opportunities to celebrate with each other in person.

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree; equivalent experience considered.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain  concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the technical teams.

  • Experience with data governance frameworks and best practice, including metadata management and compliance.

  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams.

  • Ability to follow and conduct a compliance monitoring program

  • Knowledge of  with laws and regulations governing data protection, privacy and AI (eg., EU AI Act, GLBA, FCRA, HIPAA, etc.)

  • Knowledge of financial and securities industry regulations and guidelines, including SEC and FINRA.

  • Ability to understand technical documents and legal or regulatory reference materials

  • Experience with AI development and governance.
