Responsible for assisting surgeons, nurses and anesthesia providers in providing quality patient care by ensuring cleanliness and equipment availability for anesthesia. Maintains AORN and AST standards to ensure patient safety at all times. Assists surgeon with gowning, gloving, draping of the sterile field and performing technical tasks. Performs Clerical duties and stocking of supplies. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and phone skills. Must be able to multitask and handle stressful situations. Is a positive role model and promotes teamwork. Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program or Graduate of an accredited LVN program.

Associate degree
Required Skills:
Familiarity with medical terminology. Ability to read, write and follow instructions; strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Meditech, basic clerical skills
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist or Licensed Vocational Nurse, Basic Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Preferred Experience:
1-3 years of work as a Surgical Technologist or Licensed Vocational Nurse
Preferred Education:
Associate degree
