Role Overview:
The Digital Product Manager will be responsible for delivering high-impact digital products that empower New York Life’s field force and drive business outcomes. This role will support cross-functional collaboration with Digital Product Managers, UX Designers, Product Owners, Technology, Training, and Business teams to envision, define, and deliver critical functionality on key Agency platforms. Familiarity with emerging technologies like AI and automation is essential, as this role will help shape future-forward capabilities. The Digital Product Manager is expected to act as a key contributor in the organization, proactively shaping product vision, influencing strategy, and solving complex business problems through innovation and leadership.
What You'll Do:
- Support the end-to-end strategy, planning, and delivery of high-priority digital products aligned to business objectives and user needs.
- Develop clear, actionable product roadmaps in partnership with stakeholders and delivery teams, driving consensus across diverse functions.
- Build and maintain a detailed product backlog, ensuring work is prioritized for impact, effort, and alignment with strategy.
- Apply Agile methodologies to manage product development, collaborating closely with UX, engineering, and QA teams.
- Translate complex business problems into innovative digital solutions using data, customer insights, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML where appropriate.
- Support performance tracking, KPIs, and continuous improvement of product features post-launch.
- Communicate updates, dependencies, and risks clearly to leadership and stakeholders across the organization.
- Lead user acceptance testing and post-production validation efforts to ensure successful outcomes and business value realization.
- Provide guidance and collaboration to junior product team members, championing best practices across the function.
- Stay informed on industry trends, AI advancements, and digital capabilities to help inform product strategy and experimentation.
- Understand and align product vision to other connected capabilities across the organization, closely collaborate with other product managers across the enterprise to define unified vision for integrated experiences, sequence and prioritize roadmaps for joint enablement efforts.
- Synthesize product vision, pain points, and gaps into underlying data needs to help inform and influence data enablement roadmaps at enterprise level.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required or consummate experience
- 5-10 years relevant experience
- Strong familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and product lifecycle management
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their application in digital products; experience with integrating or evaluating AI solutions is a plus
