Rental Delivery Driver (Class A) / Facilities Maintenance

SUMMARY  

• Driving Class A tractor with various style trailers used for hauling equipment and goods. 
• Work with rental coordinator to plan daily runs.
• Prepare and verify trucks for delivery.
• Load, secure and unload forklifts when delivering and picking units from customer locations. 
• Perform Maintenace tasks on delivery vehicles and facilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION  

The Rental Delivery Driver will report to the Live Oak branch daily to prepare and load trucks for pickup and delivery to customer locations. They will also perform maintenance tasks on delivery vehicles including cleaning, prepping and inspecting. 

While not prepping or driving they will perform maintenance tasks on Facilities including inspecting, small repairs, organizing and prepping for 5-S standards, and performing lawn maintenance.

Requirements

SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle with an excellent driving record. 
• Ability to safely lift, load and secure forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Knowledge of geographical area and ability to navigate.
• Strong customer relation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Highly motivated and energetic.
• Responsible for general care and cleanliness of company vehicle. 
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. (and occasionally in excess of 100 lbs.)  

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

3 years’ experience required. 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma / GED

Required License: Commercial Driver’s License – Class A 

WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS  

While performing the duties of this job, the majority of the work day is spent driving. This position is required to drive and safely operate the vehicle to make deliveries from their home branch (Live Oak, FL) to customer locations. Must be in good physical condition to bend, stretch and secure loads. This includes loading and unloading forklifts. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally in excess of 100 pounds. Must be able to legally and properly operate a motor vehicle with a “Class A” license.
