Position: Intake Patient Coordinator
Location: Richland WA
Type: Full Time Non-Exempt
Anticipated Schedule: Mon – Fri 8:00am – 5:00pm

Position Overview:
The Intake Patient Coordinator is crucial in facilitating the admission process for patients entering hospice and palliative care services. The Intake Patient Coordinator performs a variety of administrative support duties associated with the hospice intake and/or referral process following internal processes and procedures. Additionally, the Intake Patient Coordinator acts as a knowledgeable resource, offering essential information to families considering hospice and palliative care options.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.
3. Ability to report to the assigned work location(s) as scheduled and maintain consistent, reliable attendance.
4. Two (2) years of related work experience in a medical office, healthcare facility, hospice, or palliative care setting.
5. Two (2) years of experience in medical terminology and abbreviations.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
9. Proficiency in computer applications, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records (EHR) systems.
10. Ability to write concisely, and legibly and follow written and verbal instructions.

Compensation
Hiring Range: $24.48/hour – $28.68/hour
$3,000 Sign-On Bonus: New hires are eligible to receive a $3,000 bonus upon successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment in good standing

At Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, we carefully establish pay ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account, including education, certifications, knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.
Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires, depending on experience and qualifications.
