Regional Maintenance Manager - Northlake/Kankakee/St. Charles, IL

 

Under the general supervisition of the Regional Operations Manager, the Regional Maintenance Manager is responsible for all engineering, maintenance, and repair of the company's manufacturing equipment, buildings, and grounds within the assigned region. Support the operational day-to-day business and provide strategic planning through long range production equipment upgrades, facility upgrades, and consulting on new facilities.  This position is responsible for overall, complete and absolute administration of Maintenance Management for Kankakee, Northlake, and St. Charles.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Plan, organize and direct the maintenance programs and processes of the assigned regional manufacturing plants.  Generate, evaluate, and present regular reports/reviews of maintenance-related performance (PM completion, R&M spend to budget, downtime, OEE) for manufacturing equipment and facilities.  Coordinate corporate maintenance activities to reduce overall downtime of manufacturing equipment and expense.   Ensure efficient utilization of maintenance staff.
• Develop, execute and track Preventative Maintenance (PM), corrective repair and calibration programs for all manufacturing equipment, plant infrastructure, HVAC, electrical and plumbing. Administer PM program utilizing SAP/SAP-PM, to drive operational improvements through preventative and predictive maintenance methodologies for manufacturing, creating a reliability centered environment.
• Be the key liaison between the facility, Site Management and Corporate Engineering and other Executive Stakeholders
• Responsible for execution of Sun Chemical’s Responsible Care program within region.  Drive safe, effective and efficient on-site repairs, calibrations, and PMs. Ensure compliance with EH&S standards and industry codes.
• Manage CAPEX requirements related to manufacturing equipment, facility maintenance and improvement.  Ensure guidance to Generally Accepted Engineering Practices.  Maintain plant P&ID, Safety System Descriptions and Automation narrative.
• Manage maintenance services provided by outside contractors.  Manage materials required to maintain the facilities in good working order. Negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving. Manage contractor and vendor relationships.
