Clinical Aide Patient Transportation - Part Time

Description
We are seeking a part-time Clinical Aide - Patient Transportation to join our community-driven hospital! As a central member of the team, you will work to provide safe and efficient transportation of hospital patients and materials throughout the hospital.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in transport of patients, ambulatory or non-ambulatory, via wheelchair or stretcher. Assures patients comfort while in the process of transportation.
- Verifies assignment information with dispatcher/supervisor and verifies patient’s by two step identification process. Attends to the care of documents relating to transporting of patients (x-rays and charts) and for support equipment (IV’s, oxygen, walkers).
- Delivers reports, samples, supplies, mail, charts, specimens or other materials as designated by the supervisor.
- Follows all infection control and isolation procedures as designated by the hospital or department policies and assumes responsibility for the cleaning of department equipment.
- Obtains and maintains proper transportation of equipment as designated by dispatcher and reports malfunction or unsafe equipment to supervisor.
- Verifies work through the proper submission of reports, logs and dispatch sheets, etc. to be used for statistical reports.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or G.E.D required.
- Some experience preferred.
