About the role

Your Tasks

Support our Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists in the development, operation, and enhancement of cloud-based data platforms using GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform, Vertex AI).
Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure components (e.g., Terraform modules), establish coding and architectural standards, and promote harmonization across our product teams.
Serve as the main contact for all infrastructure-related topics in data-driven projects and assist the teams in automation and the efficient use of Terraform.
Establish best practices for monitoring, alerting, and security within the cloud environment to ensure stable platform operations.
Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements and support teams in their implementation.
Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and collaboration within the Data & Analytics area at MediaMarkt Saturn.
Harmonize and develop sustainable CICD pipelines for data processing services

Your Profile

Several years of experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform, and Vertex AI.
Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably with Terraform.
Strong experience in GitOps practice
Experience building and operating scalable, reliable data platforms in the cloud.
Expertise in monitoring, alerting (like Grafana, Prometheus), and cloud security (ideally with tools and frameworks commonly used at MMS.)
You are a team player, able to establish and communicate standards across teams.
Analytical thinking, initiative, and a solution-oriented working style.
Experience with CI/CD tools in the cloud environment (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Cloud Build).
Experience with VPC and basic networking infrastructure
