Description
The DarkStar Group, a GRVTY Company is seeking a Cyber Security Project Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Tysons Corner, VA. THE PROGRAM
The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community. We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. We've grown on this effort by providing the customer with Engineers who have done exceptional work, and we've retained our staff by paying very strong salaries, and working hard to ensure each Engineer is doing work that aligns with their career interest.
THE PROJECT
Sponsor is responsible for providing mission-critical training. This effort focuses on managing the suite of technologies supporting these training courses. Sponsor requires subject matter expertise managing the hardware, software, networks and systems underpinning the suite's operations, maintenance, development, upgrades, and security. Priorities and tasking will be managed by the GTM with input from the Sponsor.
THE ROLE
- The Contractor shall manage beacon and communications servers, applications, and equipment, ensuring maximum reliability of tracking solutions for training course attendees.
- The Contractor shall create, change, add, remove, and maintain user accounts, via script and coding, of the beacon and communication servers, applications and equipment.
- The Contractor shall configure, set up, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN equipment such as, but not limited to, firewalls, switches, and routers.
- The Contractor shall maintain maximum system uptime and stability.
- The Contractor shall ensure the secure design and implementation of program systems, protecting against unauthorized access, usage denial, theft, and insider threats.
- The Contractor shall maximize the security of the system by protecting Sponsor data and ensuring security best practices, including those defined by the Sponsor, are followed.
- The Contractor shall install, patch and update software to monitor and maintain system capabilities, uptime and stability.
- The Contractor shall support Sponsor's Assessment & Authorization (A&A) accreditation requirements.
- The Contractor shall manage information system security, policy, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
- The Contractor shall play a crucial role in integrating information assurance into Sponsor's acquisition aAd implementation processes.

- Demonstrated experience with system assessment and authorization (A&A) processes.
- Demonstrated experience handling sensitive data, exercising discretion and sound judgment, and achieving mission outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience customizing, deploying and maintaining Android cellular telephones.
- Demonstrated experience using ATAK (Android Team Awareness Kit) beaconing and tracking hardware, software, scripts, and code.
- Demonstrated experience managing telephones, laptops, and tablet devices, all of which require configuration and maintenance while maximizing uptime and communications reliability.
- Demonstrated experience configuring, setting up, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting and running firewalls, switches, routers, or other WAN and LAN systems or equipment.
- Demonstrated experience using encryption hardware and software and virtual private network (VPN) applications.
- Demonstrated experience gathering and vetting new technical requirements.
- Demonstrated experience identifying requirements and constraints pertaining to technical capabilities and solutions in support of training and educational exercises.
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing and executing regulatory and data retention policies and modifying such policies with input and direction from key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience cross-skilling and backfilling for teammates.
