Extended Day/After School Team Leader

The EXTENDED DAY TEAM LEADER leads an assigned age group of Latin’s Extended Day programs by providing training and ongoing support to their staff, students, and families. Team Leaders support and reinforce staff members’ top priorities of safety, teamwork, communication, and customer service as well as lay a foundation that allows staff to be creative in their daily activity planning for their students.

Areas of Focus: 

• Assistance of the Assistant Director of Latin 360° as needed and/or directed
• Plan and facilitate programs: pre- and post-program planning, support staff with daily schedule, provide guidance to and help to team with activity planning
• Provide customer service to all families and students
• Assist the Assistant Director in managing attendance and communicating all relevant matters regarding the students in Extended Day.  
• Participate in Staff Development through the creation and facilitation of before and during program development opportunities: 
• Building relationships with all staff, setting foundation and introduction to Extended day, creating and enhancing daily and weekly plans 
• Create, develop and sustain a positive, supportive environment for their staff team, with special attention to new and non-Latin affiliated staff & different learning styles. 
• Develop and grow a resource file for their age groups, such as activity ideas and tips and tricks for working with their age groups. 
• Facilitate daily, brief meetings with group staff to discuss program plans and activities, share updates about kids and families in the program, and coordinate activities. 
• Facilitate snack times for students in the program, daily
• Other duties as assigned

Hours & Compensation:

• Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. 
• Compensation: $20.00/hour

• Must be at least age 21
• Experience working in after-school programs, youth development, etc.
• Motivated to support Latin’s mission of “providing an environment that creates a life-long love of learning and supports students as they pursue their passions."
• Creative problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills
• Classroom management experience
