The mission of our Family Office Services area at BBH is to help our clients thrive. We help clients solve problems at the intersection of their wealth, values, and lives. We work with our clients to define their values, communicate a vision for how wealth will impact their lives, and create plans and invest capital to help preserve, grow, and transition wealth to family or philanthropic causes over the long term. We deliver personalized, proactive solutions that help families manage complexity, protect their legacy and thrive across generations. Specific areas in which we help clients include:
- Investment Advisory: long-term, value-oriented investing with the objective of preserving and growing wealth
- Values-Based Wealth Planning: creating values-driven, tax-efficient wealth transfer plans for families
- Philanthropic Advisory: assistance navigating the philanthropic journey to create a lasting, positive impact
- Family Office Advisory: highly customized service offering to assist families simplify, protect and enhance family wealth, including tax advisory, philanthropy, reporting ad lifestyle and concierge
- Next Generation Education: customized programs to support the next generation in assuming responsibility for family wealth to support informed decision-making and facilitate communication around wealth
- The Center for Women and Wealth® (CW&W): engaging and supporting women as they create and manage wealth by providing investment, planning and philanthropic resources
What can you expect from an Internship with BBH’s Family Office Services group?
- Support day-to-day activities of a dedicated client base and ensure client needs are being met and that BBH services are properly delivered
- Support the new client onboarding and oversight of the family office services
- Support the creation of client meeting materials
- Exposure to implementation and execution of specific service delivery including planning, tax advisory and consolidated reporting
- Learn how to troubleshoot client issues including understanding client structures
What BBH’s Family Office Services group looks for in an intern:
- Currently a junior in college, entering senior year in Fall of 2025
- Strong academic achievement as evidenced through a GPA of 3.3 or higher
- Demonstrated leadership skills through academic and extracurricular activities
- Strong understanding of asset management industry and security markets (equities and fixed income)
- Interest in investing coupled with an understanding of financial services
- Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
- Outstanding client service skills and experience
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
- Sound judgment and demonstrated ability to identify, escalate and resolve a problem
- Ability to prioritize competing demands
