PursueCare is actively recruiting Psychiatric Medication Managers who are interested in joining our team of fully integrated clinicians. Our team includes physicians, psychiatrists, therapists and counselors. 

 

At PursueCare we are on a mission to provide high-quality care to individuals dealing with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and co-occurring behavioral health disorders. Join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct live and interactive clinical evaluations, assessments, and psychiatric medication management via secure telehealth technologies.
    • Obtain and document relevant psychiatric and medical history.
    • Perform testing and assessments.
    • Formulate appropriate differential diagnoses based on history, psychiatric examination, and clinical findings.
    • Establish a plan of care to achieve identified health goals.
    • Prescribe psychotropic medications.
    • Conduct treatment from a quiet, private, and professional location such as a home or office space that is free from distraction and promotes patient privacy.
  • Initiate referrals and/or consultations as appropriate to achieve an interdisciplinary plan of care.
  • Proactively identify potential emergency/crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with case management staff as well as partnering providers that share patients with us.
  • Work in collaboration with counselors and MAT prescribing practitioners as needed in treatment planning.

Qualifications:

  • Valid unrestricted license and DEA registration in Pennsylvania.
  • Strong commitment to helping dual diagnosis patients with their medication management needs.
  • Ability to dedicate 15-20 hours per week.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in using telehealth technologies and EHR systems.
