Salary:  $65,000 - $70,000 / year

Job Summary

The Cafe Manager will oversee daily food service operations, ensuring high standards of excellence are consistently met. This individual will supervise and coach associates, manage financial and operational goals, and foster a culture of reliability, flexibility, and leadership. The schedule includes a mix of shifts, including weekends and overnight (graveyard) coverage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Hires, trains, supervises, and develops team members

• Oversees daily cafe operations and ensures compliance with sanitation, safety, and food quality standards

• Manages inventory, including receiving, restocking, and storage

• Maintains accurate temperature logs and ensures food safety protocols are followed

• Plans and promotes special events and cafe initiatives

• Operates within budget and identifies opportunities for operational improvement

• Leads team meetings and promotes effective communication and collaboration

• Adapts to shifting priorities and supports a flexible work environment

• Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 1–3 years of relevant food service management experience

• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or healthcare settings

• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

• Self-motivated and able to manage responsibilities independently

• Knowledge of cash handling and food service equipment operations

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet use

• ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred

• Reliable and flexible, with availability for weekends and overnight shifts
