About the role

The Opportunity

InCharge Energy is seeking an experienced Sr. Copywriter to be responsible for marketing efforts for brand awareness, lead generation, and copywriting, content generation and curation/ creation, plus sales enablement. As part of the Marketing team, you will be working with internal and partner stakeholders to plan and deploy strategic marketing campaigns that capitalize on company USPs and leverage cross-product synergies for hardware, software, and solutions across customer verticals to generate leads and drive conversion.

The Sr. Copywriter will leverage B2B marketing experience, ideally within a technical, SaaS and/or B2B company, as well as robust copywriting and editing skills and demonstrable success with campaign analysis and pivoting based on learnings. The successful candidate will be joining a growing Marketing team and will leverage internal and external resources to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns. He/she will also closely collaborate with Product, Sales, PM, and other Marketing stakeholders to build strategies and campaigns supporting key company objectives that increase brand awareness, lead generation, conversion, and retention, within budget and on time.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute marketing messaging and strategies; set short-term goals.
  • Ensure all marketing messages effectively communicate the InCharge value proposition and differentiation of our solutions, based on key target audiences and verticals.
  • Online and offline marketing: Create high-quality marketing collateral, including product brochures, case studies, presentations, and sales tools, to support sales teams and engage customers throughout the buyer’s journey; work with marketing colleagues and vendors to drive execution across platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and PR team members to develop and execute demand generation campaigns, leveraging various marketing channels and tactics.
  • Plan and execute product launches and marketing campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional team members to drive customer engagement.
  • Continuously learn and develop deep subject matter expertise.
  • Support other team members with refining marketing and communication copy.
  • Serve as internal champion for content and customer testimonial acquisition; drive promotion across relevant campaigns.
  • Support event marketing efforts, championing for events and speaking opportunities to establish InCharge as a thought leader and to drive business. Develop event-specific promotional materials that synergize with marketing efforts across all channels/ platforms.
  • Develop deep knowledge of our products and solutions, able to effectively absorb and transform technical information to customer-facing benefit-driven copy and content.
  • Maintain a forward-looking marketing calendar, including strategic focus plus product-promoting campaigns for key events, product launches, digital campaigns, and partner needs, to increase sell-through and upsell.
  • Create audience-focused, accessible, benefit-driven marketing and educational copy and content.
  • Drive ideas and oversee or manage execution/ approval and final delivery; engage and oversee stakeholder participation as needed.
  • Optimize marketing efforts and campaigns to work across products and across channels.
  • Analyze marketing campaign data ongoing to track effectiveness and results. Constantly iterate strategy based on results and conduct A/B tests to ensure optimal performance and to identify new opportunities or strategies.
  • Meet or exceed product marketing KPIs.
  • Provide and present reports internally and to partners/ leadership.
  • Track and report monthly on competitive marketing; leverage insights.
  • Align marketing resources and budget to prioritize initiatives and events.
  • Present marketing measurement results to management.
  • Stay ahead of industry and competitive trends; provide Marketing recommendations for product and services strategy.
  • Evaluate customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Identify key pain points; champion for CX improvements.
  • Manage one or more junior marketing team members; provide insights, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities. Schedule and assign employees and follow up on work results.
  • Manage and maintain marketing staff job results by providing helpful feedback and by planning and monitoring workload and appraising job results. Support employee recruitment, training and firing as needed.

Your Experience and Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • B2B marketing experience, particularly in a tech or softw
