About the role

An Introduction to Codal

Codal is an award-winning web design and development consultancy that helps enterprise organizations solve complex problems and accelerate growth through elegant, data-driven digital solutions. Our areas of expertise include application modernization, eCommerce, UX/UI design, product strategy, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.

At Codal, you will collaborate with some of the most innovative organizations in the world and work on cutting-edge technologies that push the boundaries of design and software development. We promote long-term success, not just for our clients but for our team, helping you develop a professional roadmap that takes your career to new heights.

We're looking for an Operations Manager who sits at the intersection of finance and operations. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role reporting directly to senior leadership, responsible for strengthening how Codal plans, executes, and grows. You'll partner closely with department heads across delivery, sales, finance, and people to identify inefficiencies, improve margins, and build the operational foundation that supports our next stage of growth.

This isn't a back-office role — you'll be a strategic partner with a hands-on mandate to make the business run better.

What You'll Do

Financial Performance

  • Drive EBITDA improvement initiatives by identifying margin opportunities, cost levers, productivity improvements, and revenue-enhancing actions across the business.
  • Own and evolve the company's operational cost structure, partnering with finance to track spend, surface savings opportunities, and hold departments accountable to budgets.
  • Build and maintain financial models and dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility into business performance.

Planning, Forecasting & Decision Support

  • Improve forecasting accuracy and decision quality by aligning financial plans with operational drivers and business metrics.
  • Lead the annual and quarterly planning process in partnership with finance, ensuring targets are grounded in operational reality.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for the leadership team.

Operational Excellence & Internal Project Management

  • Ensure delivery excellence through effective management of scope, timelines, budgets, and quality across client engagements and internal initiatives.
  • Own the end-to-end management of internal projects, from scoping and resource allocation through to execution and post-implementation review.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide policies and processes that drive consistency, accountability, and scalability across departments.
  • Continuously evaluate existing workflows and procedures, identifying gaps and leading improvement initiatives that reduce friction and increase operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the internal champion for process adoption — working with department leads to roll out new ways of working and ensuring teams are aligned and equipped to execute.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work across delivery, sales, finance, HR, and technology to drive alignment and remove operational friction.
  • Lead or support strategic initiatives such as tooling rollouts, organizational redesigns, vendor negotiations, and capacity planning.
  • Facilitate regular business reviews and operational cadences to keep teams focused on the right priorities.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in operations, finance, management consulting, or a related field  ideally within a professional services or technology firm.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience owning or closely partnering on budgets, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Proven ability to work across departments and influence without direct authority.
  • A structured, analytical thinker who can also move fast and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills — you can present a financial model to a CFO and a process improvement to a delivery team with equal clarity.
  • Experience with operational tooling (e.g., ERP systems, project management platforms, BI tools) is a plus.
  • A bias for action, a high ownership mentality, and genuine curiosity about how businesses work.

Why Codal

  • Work directly with senior leadership on decisions that shape the company.
  • A collaborative, low-ego culture where your work has immediate, visible impact.
  • Competitive compensation, strong benefits, and flexibility in how and where you work.
  • A company that's grow
