What’s the role?
We are looking for an accomplished product leader with expertise in the Payments area to lead Etsy’s growing Payments Product team. As the Sr. Director of Product, Payments, you will lead a team of Product Managers who build all aspects of our Payments ecosystem, including seller finances, the buyer experience, infrastructure, 3rd party integrations, payments and compliance. Partnering closely with other Seller Service leaders to develop a product strategy, translate it into a roadmap, and drive plan execution; you will help craft the vision of Etsy’s Payments that will lead us into the future.
We seek a candidate who is comfortable leading a large scope and who can seamlessly partner across the organization: with engineers, research, analytics, design, operations, finance, and others. You're an experienced manager who can build and elevate hardworking Product Managers and Group Product Managers, located in New York and Dublin, Ireland. You are passionate about mentoring and inspire a dynamic and impactful Product culture. Do you have a desire to build outstanding products and tackle multifaceted payments challenges? This is a full-time position reporting to the VP of Seller Services. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn Office Hub or in the San Francisco Bay Area may be the first to be considered. For candidates within commutable distance, Etsy requires in-office attendance once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?
Lead and nurture a growing team, supporting their career advancement through mentoring and professional guidance
Advocate for the payments needs of buyers, sellers, and internal partners and develop a vision for the future of payments products and a plan to get there
Drive OKRs and set critical metrics; clearly define requirements, goals, and success criteria for squad leaders and their teams by relentlessly prioritizing and focusing your teams on development that addresses top opportunities which benefit Etsy’s members and our overall business
Create strong relationships with partners and other parts of the business, to make sure payments supports Etsy’s overall strategy and success
