The Role:

We are looking for a smart and driven intern with a passion for sustainability and the role of businesses as a platform for change and innovation. You will contribute and independently drive projects within the sustainability team and closely work with a multitude of stakeholders, based on your skills and experience you bring. You help identify key priorities, conduct research and develop new ideas for implementation.  You support across all strategic areas of the sustainability team and contribute to product development, sales execution and internal operations and communication.

The work you’ll do:

• Research & Analysis: Monitor ESG trends, innovations, and regulatory developments, conducting continuous market research and data analysis to inform strategic initiatives within the sustainability team—especially in decarbonizing the supply chain and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Sustainability Engagement & Activation: Assist in the execution of key sustainability initiatives that empower, inspire, and activate our stakeholders—such as Impact Days, Celonis for NGOs, and innovation challenges focused on driving sustainable impact across our company.
• Internal & External Communications: Support internal sustainability communications to engage Celonauts in sustainability initiatives, as well as contribute to external-facing content that highlights sustainability efforts with our customers. Help create materials such as Slack posts, newsletters, and campaigns to drive awareness and action.

The qualifications you need:

• Studying in the field of sustainable business management or business administration or in a comparable program with a focus on sustainability; environmental sciences/technologies is a plus.
• A good understanding of business sustainability challenges (climate change, CO2 measurement, regulatory frameworks) and available solutions with the aspiration to become a domain expert one day proven through your work experience or private endeavors.
• Have a first understanding of process mining and initial ideas about how process mining could be applied to help companies overcome sustainability challenges. 
• Ability to develop and maintain value-driven, productive relationships with internal stakeholders, as well as customers and partners
• Eager to explore and apply AI-driven automation to streamline manual day-to-day tasks.
• You are intellectually curious, have a willingness to learn, and continuously seek self-improvement.
• Effective communication skills; fluency in both spoken and written English (other languages are a bonus!).
