Senior Accountant

We’re seeking a senior accountant with solid experience in US accounting and tax matters who will work closely with the CFO and the finance team.

Key responsibilities but not limited to,

• Take ownership of overall accounting and tax for US, Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands entities.
• Ensure financial accounting and reporting (US GAAP), including payroll, credit card, employee expenses and tax and related filings for US entities.
• Coordinate with colleagues for transfer pricing and intercompany bookings.
• Prepare, execute and account for crypto transactions.
• Ensure best practices and procedures and maintain process documentation.
• Work hand in hand with Budgeting & Controlling and respond to ad-hoc requests from investors and other stakeholders.
• Liaise with authorities and stakeholders, such as tax, social security and insurance institutions and ensure correct filings.

Requirements

• CPA or equivalent accounting and finance certification
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience and previous experience in crypto-space is a must
• Working knowledge of IFRS, familiarity with US financial and tax frameworks
• US/Canada-based, self-motivated and able to work autonomously
• Excellent professional English, both written and spoken
• Previous experience with Xero preferred
• Previous start-up experience preferred
