The Team:

Specialist Clinic provides outpatient services for both Medical and Surgical Specialties.  The clinic is located on Level 3 of the LGH.  Outpatient services can be accessed from a variety of referral pathways: GP, Emergency Department and hospital wards.  The Specialist Clinic provides a multi-disciplinary approach to a variety of care points in a patients care journey. 

The Role:

Working as a Registered Nurse in outpatients you will have opportunity to work in collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluates patient/client care.

It is preferrable that the successful applicant have:

1. Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
2. Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (safety and quality) and the application of evidence based practice in the practice setting.
3. Ability to undertake patient/client education in the practice setting, together with a commitment to participate in ongoing professional development.

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working up to 28 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.

Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
