Field Service Technician

About the role

In this role, you will primarily be working on Chemineer Mixers and Moyno progressive cavity pumps. We also get involved with industrial equipment that may not be a direct product line so diverse mechanical knowledge is a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain direct contact with customers to address service-related needs post-sale.
  • Travel to customer locations or well sites for equipment repair, commissioning, and servicing.
  • Assist with training, testing, and assembly of equipment as needed.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer service requests.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
  • Completes daily timesheet of hours worked.
  • Provide training to other NOV personnel on systems and equipment as needed.
  • Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
  • Complete and submit field service documentation and daily reporting in a timely manner.
  • Uphold company standards for safety and quality in all service activities.
  • Help maintain the facility, ensuring it is clean and welcoming for customers.
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the company through the upkeep of the facility.
  • Follows all PPE requirements guidelines and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Industrial trade certifications preferred. i.e., Forklift certification, rigging, welding, etc.
  • 3 years minimum or more of field service experience.
  • 5+ years mechanical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge on how to properly install equipment and components.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Typically, travel is limited to Monday – Friday, however availability for weekend work and travel is required.
  • Travel is primarily domestic with possibility of international travel although rare.
  • Computer proficiency is required – Microsoft office, dynamics, excel abilities are preferred.
  • Must be able to understand and read mechanical plans, drawings, and site layouts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customer and contractor personnel.
  • Work in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and at certain heights.
