The Statistician Junior position in the Human Immunology Core Lab will focus on the analysis of project-specific immune repertoire data sets (i.e., massively parallel sequencing of antibody and T cell receptor gene rearrangement data). In addition, the Statistician Junior will assist with quality control, metadata annotation, data visualization for reports and publications, data curation, storage and sharing with core lab clients and public repositories, such as the AIRR Data Commons and SRA. Additional data skills, including programming and use of new software for AI/machine learning will be very useful for this role.Job Description
Job Responsibilities
The Human Immunology Core (HIC) at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine is seeking a skilled and motivated statistician to join our team to analyze large immune repertoire data sets (next generation sequencing of antibody and T cell receptor gene rearrangements). This individual will be responsible for assuring the integrity and quality of data in the core lab database, assist lab members with data analysis and quality control, develop statistical or computational pipelines for data analysis and QC and for creating relevant figures and statistical analyses on a per project basis.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
This position requires knowledge of statistical methods of data analysis, experience with computational analysis, experience with Python and with manipulating large data sets.
