Job Summary
Langan is seeking an Environmental/Wetland Scientist in the Natural Resources group to join its collaborative team in our Parsippany, NJ office. This individual will serve a key function in performing wetland assessments and field delineations and preparing due diligence assessments of project sites. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with top industry leadership in a continuous learning environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead specific field assignments;
- Assist with the natural resource planning, assessment, and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects;
- Prepare state and federal land use permit applications including natural resource figures using GIS and AutoCAD software; and
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related discipline;
- Internship experience in wetlands delineation and natural resource permitting;
- Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting;
- Excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
- Ability to work well individually and within groups;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong GIS skills and experience with AutoCAD;
- Ability to participate in field work and work during evenings and/or weekends, as needed by project schedule;
- Occasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required; and
- Reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver's license in good standing.
