OnsiteMission Systems Technical Support Services Department is looking for a highly motivated, innovative Electronics technician join our team. As a Mission Systems Engineering Labs (MSEL) Engineering Technician, you will support MiS Engineering and Value Stream teams in the design and development of complex systems. You will support the sustainment of Engineering Development Space (Labs) and ensure their compliance to Environmental, Health, & Safety, RTX Quality Management System, and Physical & Cyber Security. This is a non-exempt position and is 100% onsite. The work performed can be complex, strategic, and often minimally defined and/or undefined. This role may need to support customers by working outside of "normal" business hours and/or travel but is not required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supports factory transition running automated test equipment, testing, and troubleshooting
Working First Shift
Supports Engineering teams with prototype build, testing, and troubleshooting/debugging of electronic assemblies and “bring alive” of new circuit card assemblies.
Builds of various Test Fixtures and Cable Assemblies
Reviews and revises test and engineering documentation
Maintains and inventorys repair and engineering parts stock
Supports production test stations
Applies advanced electronic theory, testing, and knowledge to solve problems.
Adapts to new procedures, techniques, and tools quickly; is willing and able to share knowledge to promote a good learning environment.
Works autonomously, can work in a team environment with good communication skills.
Interfaces well with key customers on complex systems or processes; able to improve upon existing processes and practices.
Solves complex problems using sound technical proficiencies and innovative solutions.
Works under minimal supervision as needed.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Testing Fixtures and Cable Assemblies
Experience with production test stations
Experience with prototype building, testing, and troubleshooting/debugging of electronic assemblies and “bring alive” of new circuit card assemblies.
