  About this job:
  Responsible to provide real-time, in-classroom coaching to support educators in strengthening classroom management, increasing student engagement, and improving academic outcomes. This role builds teacher capacity to establish safe, inclusive, and high-functioning learning environments by promoting strong teacher-student relationships, high expectations, culturally responsive practices, and consistent instructional routines. Through strategic, student-centered coaching, the Specialist fosters a sense of urgency and collective responsibility for educational equity and drives sustainable school transformation.

What You'll Do:
 

•    Provide real-time, in-classroom coaching through planning, modeling, co-teaching, and feedback to address student disengagement and strengthen instructional practices
•    Build teacher capacity to create inclusive, high-expectation classrooms that motivate all students to succeed
•    Address disempowering mindsets and implicit bias to foster equitable, culturally sustaining learning environments
•    Support development of strong routines, effective classroom management, and meaningful connections with students and families
•    Apply research-based behavior frameworks, culturally responsive practices, and other best practices to guide coaching strategies
•    Design and deliver relevant, action-oriented professional development aligned to school needs
•    Will be responsible for bridging strategic planning with real-time instructional coaching and feedback
•    Other duties as assigned


  What You’ll Need:  
  • High School Diploma or GED - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
  • Master's Degree - Preferred
  • Three (3+) plus years classroom teaching or similar experience working with youth and historically underserved populations - Required
  • Three (3+) plus years coaching through disempowered mindsets and centering race in feedback conversations - Required
  • Three (3+) plus years demonstrated commitment to intercultural development, racial justice and equity in education - Required
  • Teaching license - Preferred
  • Exemplary instructional and classroom management skills with a proven track record of meeting extremely high standards for student achievement
  • Proficiency with Google products including docs, sheets, slides and gmail
  • Effective time management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituents and excellent writing, facilitation, and public speaking skills
  • Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines
  • Ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance
  • Ability to work effectively as member of multi-disciplinary team
  • Must have understanding and acceptance of high needs and at-risk kids with a willingness to assist in finding creative solutions to increasing student achievement
  • Understanding of cultural proficiency
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. 
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
