Buyer (Modelshop - Mechanical Proto-Parts)

Introduction to the job

ASML supports the semiconductor industry’s ongoing quest for producing faster, smarter and more energy efficient chips. We are a young, dynamic, international and highly skilled workforce. ASML creates the systems that the lithography industry needs to achieve its goals. This can only be accomplished with a strong support of our suppliers.

We are looking for a Buyer that takes a pivotal role as a linking pin between the ASML and the related proto supply base in combination with our own modelshop milling/turning capabilities, with a primary focus on procurement support.

Responsibilities

As a Buyer you are primary responsible to ensure Proto-Parts from our suppliers. Using your in-depth technical knowledge, and collaboration skills, you work closely with suppliers to build up an intimate knowledge of their technological capabilities.

The main responsibilities are:

• Ensure that Customers have there proto-parts on time and in full, with the right quality.

• Being a active part with Make or Buy decisions, knowing the following:

- Make decisions between two inhouse shopfloors on technical capability's and time planning

- Buy with our suppliers on technical capability's, price and delivery time.

• Grow in manufacturability- and serviceability advice to cover manufacturability in the design phase.

Procurement

Executing standard requisition to pay process.

Operational Excellence

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in own way of working.
Make optimal use of available tooling to work efficiently and with optimal quality.
