Building Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Building Maintenance Manager to join our team at KRM Development!

This role is pivotal to ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. As the Building Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all maintenance-related activities within our properties, collaborating closely with contractors and other service vendors.

You will provide oversight and support while also rolling up your sleeves to participate in hands-on maintenance work when necessary. This position requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to quality service. In addition to managing routine maintenance and repairs, you will also be responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance schedules, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of building maintenance operations including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs as needed
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure optimal functioning of facilities.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance longevity of building systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair services and renovation projects.
• Maintain grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and debris cleanup.
• Install and repair fixtures, equipment, and appliances as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a building maintenance manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and general maintenance practices
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and contractors.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions quickly and effectively.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
