Do you have a passion for mechanical device troubleshooting and maintenance? We’re hiring a Maintenance Repair Technician at our premier Metal Fabrication plant in Raymond, MS.
Hunter offers $33.65 as the starting rate with opportunities for advancement in level and pay.
This position may work across multiple shifts.
If you possess:
- The ability to observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
- Experience in repairing or replacing defective parts; installing special functional and structural parts in devices; Lubrication and cleaning of parts.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree in Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance and / or a combination of education and experience preferred.

As a Maintenance Repair Technician:
What you will do:
- Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and install new or repaired parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Initiates purchase requisition orders for parts and machines.
- Repairs electrical equipment, with the use of hand tools, carpenter tools, electrician tools or other tools used for maintenance or repair.
- Operate welding equipment as necessary.
- Must be able to operate forklift, crane, and tow motor to transport materials as needed.
- Must have ability to read blueprints and/or manuals as a guide for repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties.
- Comply with Hazard Communications program requirements and safety requirements.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree in Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance and / or a combination of education and experience preferred.
- Must score Silver or higher on NCRC/Work Keys exam.
- 2+ years' experience in manufacturing facility in a maintenance technician or repair role is ideal.
