About the role

CTI is a rapidly growing software, systems, and operational support corporation that provides user-focused technologies for military and other security applications, including spectrum-dependent operations (e.g., electronic warfare and signals intelligence), tactical and unmanned systems, C4ISR, and training and simulation capabilities.

We are looking for a strategic Human Resources (HR) Manager to oversee all disciplines within the HR department. The HR Manager is responsible for leading short- and long-term planning of the HR functions to include strategically and tactically leading workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, benefits, workforce training and development, and local diversity initiatives.


This is a remote position available in the following locations: Maryland, Colorado, or Ventura County, California.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
  • Create, manage, and update a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys.
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to the team.
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align strategic HR goals with business initiatives.
  • Maintain HR systems and processes.
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews.
  • Design and implement employee retention strategies.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of relevant HR experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a distributed workplace environment across several states.
  • Experience with Workable, Indeed, Circa, Trakstar, and Payscale.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience leading an HR team, including oversight and development of team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a remote environment.
  • Experience using Slack as the primary method of communicating.
  • Ability to maintain and protect confidential information.
  • Ability to travel to out-of-state locations to support operations as required.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
