Boston Scientific is in search of a strategic, collaborative, and seasoned Content Strategy Manager for our Endoscopy business. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead a team in a rapidly expanding space, crafting compelling digital experiences that resonate with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).

 

The Manager, Content Strategy is passionate about understanding our customers’ needs and identifying relevant, useful content to be delivered across external communication channels. This role will identify and clarify business and marketing objectives, identify user research needs, and drive content strategy and planning for key audience segments while leading a content strategy and planning team. They will also guide content planning exercises including storyboarding, empathy mapping, scripting, content gap analyses and experience prototyping to ensure the digital marketing team crafts useful, effective, and efficient experiences for our customers. Additionally, they will work cross-functionally across the organization including partnering closely with the Digital Strategist to ensure content aligns to digital marketing tactics and KPIs while providing a seamless end-to-end customer experience. They will also partner closely with the Product Marketing team to ensure that content aligns to business and marketing objectives, as well as collaborate with the Digital Marketing Analyst to report out on content performance, ensuring there is ongoing optimization based on market needs.

 

The primary focus of this role will be driving Healthcare Processional (HCP) related programs. Qualified candidates are fluent in today’s digital marketing ecosystem, including but not limited to Omnichannel Marketing, CRM, Marketing Automation, Email, Media Planning & Organic and Paid Social. This role will report to the Associate Director, Digital Marketing & Experience.

 

This opportunity is available for remote work to candidates residing beyond a commutable distance from our Marlborough, MA, or Arden Hills/Maple Grove, MN offices. Candidates within a commutable distance to an office location will follow a hybrid schedule.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Refine segmentation and targeting, identifying key points of differentiation and reasons to believe through collaboration with product marketing.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to establish consensus on program strategy, target audience, and objectives.
  • Lead and take ownership of the development of a customer-centric content strategy for key audience segments, informed by user research and customer personas.
  • Develop customer journey maps in collaboration with the Digital Strategist.
  • Create segmented and personalized content marketing plans aligned with the customer journey.
  • Collaborate with strategic copywriters to craft a directional messaging framework and pillars.
  • Develop a proposed high-level budget for content creation.
  • Author creative briefs and lead kickoffs for designers, agencies, copywriters, and project management.
  • Generate ideas independently and with team members to transform scientific/medical information and data into engaging content (e.g., whitepapers, infographics, videos) that meet business objectives and KPIs, including peer-to-peer engagement and user-generated content.
  • Translate existing content into new opportunities across communication channels.
  • Plan, document, and maintain content guidelines while educating others on best practices and trends for digital marketing programs.
  • Collaborate with UX, visual design, and digital production teams to continually review site structures and nomenclature, ensuring the most intuitive presentation of content for customers
  • Partner with analytics resources and the sales operations team to test content types, creative approaches, demonstrate the value of content marketing, and provide regular reports.
  • Build, activate, and manage cross-functional relationships with Digital, Analytics, UX/Design, MarTech, IT, and other relevant teams.
  • Serve as a thought leader by sharing knowledge and best practices with both internal and external teams.
  • Continually identify innovative ways to create and distribute content.
