Accounts Payable Manager

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for assisting with the financial operations of Trident Management. Principal responsibilities are all accounts payable functions, various reconciliations and special projects assigned in the accounting cycle.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Invoice coding, entry and verification of all vendor invoices and credits - including purchase orders
- Reconciling vendor statements monthly to ensure accuracy
- Maintain schedules to track and ensure monthly vendors are paid on time
- Following up with managers to obtain all necessary spending information including approvals or receipts
- Reconciling and reviewing AP aging monthly
- Maintain vendor record files with current information, including collection of Form W-9s
- Initiating vendor payments upon approval by VP of Accounting
- Serve as primary communicator with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies or payment inquiries
- Reconciling and posting of corporate credit card activity
- Reviewing expenses eligible for capitalization and maintaining fixed asset ledger
- Assist with identifying expenses for monthly accrual
- Maintain current accounts payable manual
Other Duties
- Crosstrain in other departmental tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Previous Accounts Payable & General Accounting experience
- Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Excel
- Highly organized & detail oriented with the ability to multi-task priorities to meet deadlines
- Must be a team player with the ability to also work independently
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and confidentiality required
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Non-profit accounting experience
Education / Experience
- Associate's degree in related field and a minimum of four years of related accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 45,000 - $55,000 annual Salary
Expected hours: minimum of 40 per week
