Architectural Drafter - Steel

Salary: $60,000 - 75,000/yearAs an Architectural Designer, you will contribute to the design and development of architectural projects from concept through construction. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize your proficiency in Revit software and steel drafting techniques to create accurate and detailed architectural drawings and models.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project architects and engineers to develop preliminary design concepts and translate them into detailed construction drawings using Revit.
• Create 3D models, renderings, and visualizations to effectively communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders.
• Produce detailed drawings for steel structures, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards in all architectural designs and documentation.
• Participate in design meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural and MEP systems into architectural designs.
• Assist in material selection, specification writing, and construction detailing.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project teams, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation to track revisions and updates.

Requirements

• Minimum [2] years of experience as an Architectural Designer, with a focus on steel drafting and detailing.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software is required.
• Experience with steel structure detailing and familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., AISC) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, construction techniques, and materials.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external consultants.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in drafting and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
