The Director of Patient Access oversees all operations related to inpatient, outpatient, and emergency registration, financial counseling, and scheduling. This role ensures compliance with hospital and Revenue Cycle policies while leading teams in registration, insurance verification, and patient financial interactions. Responsibilities include budgeting, goal setting, staff leadership, and performance management. The Director also ensures compassionate, clear communication with patients regarding financial responsibilities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Responsible for the Revenue Cycle Practices throughout the hospital in areas of Dyer, Munster, and Olympia Fields that encompass or support Patient Access and Patient Accounting activity.

  • Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that will be developed by the CBO to provide a work measurement to insure customer and job satisfaction can be attained.

  • Implement the CBO QA processes, records and evaluates results. Audit completion of staff mandatory QA requirements and provides necessary discipline as needed.

  • Acts as a resource for processing registration information, insurance verifications, and documentation guidelines, including advising or referring providers to appropriate sources.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required

  • Masters Degree - Preferred

  • 1 year Director Level Experience in Patient Access or CBO - Preferred

  • 5 years Patient Access/Revenue Cycle, demonstrated leadership ability in billing, collections, customer service, or cash application - Required

  • Certified Patient Accounts Manager (CPAM) - Preferred

    TRAVEL IS REQUIRED:

    Up to 20%
