The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Lead Vertical Businesses' strategy development and planning activities; manage market & competitive intelligence and benchmarking; drive prioritized strategic projects and change management; own revenue forecasting activities for the business; lead business development and inorganic value creation activities for the segment.

Lead Vertical business strategy and strategic planning : Champion OKR method to shape and prioritize strategic initiatives to drive growth. Building forecast to track performance against strategy plan

  • Implement Key account insights & analytics external data on key account: 3rd party research and their earnings reports or other feedback, compare to their forecasts - get analyst reports on the marquee accounts
  • Determines Industry insights & foresights: 3rd party research - attend and participate in industry activities and regular engagement with industry  leaders
  • Supports Customer Roadmap definition vs 3M Roadmap: creating these and making sure we are continuing to keep these aligned ,working closely with portfolio and technical teams
  • Willingness to be on-call regarding Critical Supply Chain for data, samples, POS, etc.

    Your Skills and Expertise 
     

    To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

    • Master’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
    • Five (5) years of business or consulting experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

    Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and visual graphics/chart creation
    • Proven track record in providing novel and innovative solutions to complex or difficult strategic issues
    • Very strong analytics and financial acumen
    • Ability to lead through influence at high levels in the organization
    • Strong logical, organizational, and prioritization skills
    • Ability to build a holistic business case leveraging market insights, internal realities, and financials, packaged in a tight logical argument
    • Work experience in the Energy sector.

    Work location:

    • Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

    Travel: May include up to 15% domestic & international

    Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
