Location: Fort Myers, FL – On-site (3660 Broadway and overseeing all 13 locations across Southwest Florida)

Essential Job Responsibilities 

  • Direct and coordinate the activities and schedule of the maintenance department, delegate assignments, and monitor the work for proper completion. 
  • Maintain timekeeping for the maintenance staff, including PTO time being entered as needed. 
  • Maintain maintenance department employee schedules. 
  • Approve, deny, or modify PTO requests as needed. Ensure to follow the company PTO policy and that coverage is available. 
  • Conduct regular facility maintenance inspections, coordinate with the facility supervisor on all maintenance issues. 
  • Establish a preventative maintenance program for each facility. 
  • Follow policies and procedures including safety and precautions. 
  • Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to the manager and to the safety committee and/or the technical director. 
  • Ensure that facilities are clean, and repairs made in a timely manner. 
  • Analyze and resolve maintenance repair issues/problems and/or assists maintenance staff in solving repair issues. 
  • Interpret company policies to maintenance staff and enforce safety regulations. 
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and interior designers on remodeling projects for existing facilities and on the new building projects. 
  • Inspect and report on various sites and building improvement projects throughout the sites. 
  • Oversee the housekeeping department while working closely with the housekeeping supervisor. 
  • Work with the housekeeping supervisor regarding the needs of the housekeeping department, such as staffing, improvements, inspections, etc.  
  • Hire external vendors as required and coordinate all repairs with them, assure quality controls are in place to meet RR expectations. 
  • Receive and follow requests and instructions from radiologists and practice administrator that may be urgent and require immediate attention. 
  • Constantly patrol all sites and meet with maintenance staff to determine required and suggested site improvements. 
  • Direct, manage, oversee, coordinate, and perform minor company vehicle maintenance and repairs. 
  • Obtain estimates from three vendors and coordinate all maintenance repairs (including preventative maintenance) with the appropriate vendor. 
  • Complete vehicle maintenance logs and obtain periodic mileage information on all company vehicles. 
  • Interview candidates for positions within the department, recommend employees for placement, training, advancement, and termination. 
  • Evaluate individual employee performance, conduct 90-day and annual performance evaluations. Document performance deficiencies that need improvement and counsel employees on ways to improve. 
  • Motivate employees to perform their best, build teamwork among the department and the facilities and staff which it serves. 
  • Supervise landscaping staff, ensure that all facility grounds are presentable and result in a professional look. 
  • Attend and participate in annual OSHA/safety meetings. 



Knowledge & Skill Requirements 

Required: High School Diploma or GED 

Experience: Three years’ experience in supervisory maintenance 

Required: valid driver’s license 

Required: Properly control the release of proprietary and confidential information. 

Required: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, correspondence, and communicate effectively in one-on-one and group situations with patients, physicians, employees, and other customers of the organization. 

Required: Professional interpersonal and organizational skills.
