About the Role:

"Customers are King!" Our Inside Sales and Customer Success teams are of vital importance at PitchBook and will provide you with valuable customer-facing experience.

Each and every day the Customer Success Team works to ensure that our clients are maximizing the value they receive from PitchBook. Onboarding, training, support, business development and renewals are handled by the Customer Success team. Customer Success does whatever it takes to ensure our customers achieve their goals and continue to grow their engagement with the PitchBook Platform.  

PitchBook’s Sales organization drives our growth through new client acquisition. Our Inside Sales team is the first point of contact for the vast majority of new business opportunities and begin the process that culminates in long term contracts signed by the Outside Sales team.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete required PitchBook trainings to learn sales strategy, company culture and gain industry knowledge
  • Work with a strong sense of urgency to achieve and exceed demo, call volume and other outreach goals measured at a daily, weekly and monthly cadence while providing an excellent experience for prospective customers
  • Connect with prospects through written and verbal communication in order to book demos that show off the PitchBook product offering and drive deal closure
  • Prospect potential accounts, searching for key points of contact through marketing generated leads
  • Act as a consultant and display a positive and empathetic attitude – take the time to understand your clients’ needs and business priorities and address them head on by asking thorough and pointed questions, guiding potential clients through needs analysis and relevant use cases, and conducting discovery sessions to qualify the lead and drive new opportunities
  • Work closely with Account Managers to build pipeline and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Account Manager for further development
  • Effectively research and prospect targeted accounts as needed in order to identify key decision makers and collaborate effectively with them
  • Drive engagement with prospective clients through personally crafted sequences and/or marketing-provided materials via Highspot and creatively leverage LinkedIn to engage with contacts
  • Work continuously to document the details of each potential client interaction in Salesforce in order to improve the customer experience and drive deal closure
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at Northeastern University in Boston, MA and authorized to participate in the co-op program
  • Business, Economics, Finance and related majors preferred
  • Junior and Senior level students preferred
  • Interest in in financial markets or services, particularly private equity and venture capital
  • Demonstrate curiosity with a positive attitude
  • Self-motivated, persistent, goal-oriented attitude and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team
  • Ability to to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
