What does it mean to be an Inside Sales Manager at GLS?
As an Inside Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading a profitable team of sales representatives. You will also be responsible for capturing deals that meet the company’s risk and profitability guidelines within the assigned market.

How will you drive value within the organization as an Inside Sales Manager?

  • Act in a buying capacity to ensure the service levels of the team, including communicating credit decisions to the dealer partners within the timeline prescribed and working with the dealer representative to provide a deal structure that is acceptable to all parties
  • Set departmental goals and develop and maintain a daily employee work schedule that effectively meets the needs of the business unit, company, and customer
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team - provide quality training, guidance, performance coaching, and feedback to assigned staff
  • Run daily reports to optimize workflow efficiency; ensure the team meets service level expectations of internal and external customers
  • Monitor the performance of assigned staff against prescribed metrics using appropriate departmental reports
  • Develop and maintain positive business relationships with dealers through conversations and solicitations; providing exceptional customer service, effective and timely communications, and responding to credit processing questions and inquiries

What should you already know to be successful as an Inside Sales Manager?

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in an auto finance operational role or auto industry experience preferred
  • People management experience is strongly preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of credit-related laws, consumer lending/underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures is strongly preferred
  • Excellent sales skills with an ability to think quickly in a dynamic environment to overcome resistance
  • Ability to solve problems under pressure and provide creative solutions when necessary
  • Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of the internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Ability to think strategically and deliver tactically

Employment Requirements:

  • Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
  • Talk and hear to exchange accurate information
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
  • The position does not require travel
  • This is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which
