Position Overview

The Finance & Accounts team, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a Sr FP&A Analyst! The person in this role will report to the Manager, FP&A, Reporting, North America. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the FP&A Manager in delivering monthly management reporting covering all elements of the P&L/Cash flow with specific emphasis on Opex and Logistics; coordinating with Plant Operations controllers and Logistics/Procurement/Supply Chain teams in understanding key drivers of Opex/Logistics performance, explaining actuals, and preparing detailed Forecasts/Plans; and supporting the FP&A Manager with sensitive monthly/quarterly inputs for MMR/QBR packages and ad hoc requests from Management team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly reporting process to support Leadership team decision making with business-oriented view of the financial performance
  • Consolidate Plant’s & Region-wide variance analysis vs Plan and Forecast, as well as root cause analyses and narratives
  • Support other functional reporting (logistic, tolling…)
  • Handle the different workflows within the team and prioritize where required, to enable a high level of financial and operational information on a timely basis
  • Maintain and develop PowerBI based dashboards
  • Monthly update of cost outlook for the quarter
  • Quarterly consolidation of the 18-month rolling forecast
  • Plan and Strategic Plan understand key assumptions taken and market dynamics
  • Consolidate and input forecast and planning data for logistic, warehousing, finishing tolling
  • BMC impact calculations
  • WCF/SCF manual reporting elements
  • Consolidate MMR comments
  • Working with Functional leaders in establishing annual budgets and report out on key variances. Use persuasion and communication skills to drive performance with company-wide goals/ key performance indicators.
  • Become familiar with full P&L and be able to explain key drivers of net income

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Science or a related field
  • Minium of 5 years of progressive financial management experience
  • Experience with manufacturing organizations
  • Basic knowledge of US-GAAP, especially for capitalization rules
  • User experience with ERP or Consolidation/Forecasting systems (Hyperion, OneStream, SAP etc)
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite
  • User experience of PowerBI
  • Proactive participative management style, demonstrating curiosity and passion about Novelis business while staying well organized and structured
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including facilitation of groups toward deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or graduate degree in Finance/Data Science
  • Experience in global manufacturing organization
  • Development ability of PowerBI
