As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol - Part Time in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent retail location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to provide reassurance, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required as you will be responsible for patrolling designated areas by vehicle and/or on foot. You will also have the opportunity to interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any unusual behavior or circumstances.
• Collaborate with store management and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
