Sr. Full Stack Developer

The Role:

This role is essential in the development, and evolution of our credit card linking API platform-as-a-service. The ideal candidate will have enterprise-level, full-stack (front-end & back-end) experience building cloud-based web applications that interface with API web services to process a high volume of credit card transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop front-end user interfaces for web applications that consume data from secure API web services, data feeds, and webhooks.
• Develop back-end code needed to consume data from back-end API web services, data feeds, and webhooks.
• Deploy services, and components to AWS ECS containers via CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with product teams to define technical specifications.
• Work with other technology teams to collaborate on cloud services, security configuration, dev ops optimization, and container orchestration used by the platform.
• Participate in story planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and UAT demos as appropriate.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, and functional requirements are met.
• Work closely with QA team to formulate test cases, execute test plans, and create test data as needed.
• Develop proof-of-concept (PoCs), and technology experiments as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5-10 years of professional experience developing cloud-based API web services using Next.js, and React.
• Professional back-end experience using Java with MVC patterns.
• Professional experience creating, and deploying containers in AWS.
• Experience operating in an agile environment (Kanban or Scrum).
• Experience developing within CI/CD pipelines (especially using Terraform & Bitbucket).

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Professional experience developing web services using Symfony & PHP highly desirable.
• Professional development experience in a PCI certified environment.
• Professional experience developing microservices.
• Professional experience developing credit card payment processing solutions.
• Professional experience building back-end web APIs using Java/Spring.
• Professional experience using ETL frameworks, and tools such as AWS ETL, AWS Glue, etc.
• Proficiency with AWS Services such as S3, ECS, RDS, etc.
• Professional experience developing Python solutions.
