JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Manager, Clinical Services in our Duke Vascular Surgery at Brier Creek located in Raleigh, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team to provide direct and indirect care to patients.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Orient and train new staff/students. Direct and guide departmental workflow.
• Provide general supervision and evaluation of the sonographer staff.
• Ensure that sonographers have timely access to supplies and logistical support.Develop and implement agency Performance Improvement activities.
• Maintain equipment to assure conformance with specific operational standards. Maintain equipment in working order, making minor adjustments and repairs, perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance, report any equipment malfunction to supervisor. Develop and implement quality assurance programs relating to calibration and maintenance of equipment. Coordinate maintenance personnel, cleaning services, and vendor visits. Develop safety, training courses for equipment operators.
• Exercise responsibility in conjunction with the Technical Director for the direct supervision of staff sonographers as well as for the day-to-day operation of sonography services within the ultrasound lab.
• Supervise and assist others in performing the examinations; oversee day-to-day operations; and communicate weekly with the Medical Director to maintain compliance with the Standards.
• Develop new approaches for patient care services.
• Direct staff compliance of clinical and operational protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Provide input for the performance assessment of staff sonographers. Conduct performance evaluations.
• Prepare and monitor the budget components for the clinical department. Perform analysis of financial information, reporting trends and patterns; prepare corrective action plan as necessary.

 

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Work requires completion of an accredited Bachelor's degree in a clinical field such as Nursing, Social Work, Physical Therapy, Occupations Therapy, Speech Therapy or a related field. 
• Work requires a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including supervisory experience.
• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical  Sonography (ARDMS).
• Certification as Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International

 

JOB HOURS:

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
