As a Tech Risk & Controls Senior Associate in Corporate Sector and Risk & Controls, you will take charge of the design, implementation, and upkeep of controls and risk management frameworks. Your role will involve ensuring that the designed and implemented controls operate in accordance with firm, regulatory, legal, and industry standards. You will be engaged into such duties as to encompass end-to-end requirements, plan and execute of work-inclusive of design, test execution, and implementation. In order to be a successful candidate, you have to possess strong analytical problem-solving skills, with strong prioritization and time management skills. 

Job responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor technology risks, ensuring compliance with firm standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Support implementation of effective controls in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to mitigate risks and enhance the firm's risk posture
  • Analyze complex situations, provide advice on risk management strategies, and support the implementation of risk mitigation measures 
  • Administers the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) process
  • Monitors and reports issue volume across multiple systems
  • Support reporting and governance of controls, policies, issue management, and measurements, offering senior management insights into control effectiveness and inform governance work
  • Identify and act on automation and streamlining opportunities within Network Product Line
  • Support risk transformation initiatives in implementation efforts and helping track and share progress

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 1-3 years applied experience
  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, information security, or a related field, with a focus on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
  • Experience in Automating, identifying, analyzing issues and escalating to required levels and attention.
  • Knowledge and understanding of information processing principles and practices
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Genuine curiosity with a proactive approach to learning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with Confluence, Jira and Project Management
  • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be Excel proficient.
  • Fast learner with an eye for detail
  • Ability to present to internal audiences and demonstrate excellent communication skills
