Position Overview
On Location is seeking an experienced sales leader who demonstrates universal excellence in managing a sales team of 30+ individuals, establishing a distribution / sales partnership network, and achieving ambitious revenue goals. This role will be responsible for identifying and engaging distribution partners worldwide and should be highly familiar with B2B sales, relationship management, and financial analysis. SVP of Sales for this multi-billion-dollar North American Project and others will be adept at motivating and incentivizing sales staff in line revenue goals and timelines. They will lead a team to source customers across the globe, acquire and engage sales leads, sell premium hospitality products, and drive a robust sales pipeline in the leadup to and throughout the event.
Key Responsibilities
Build and lead a world-class sales organization by structuring and staffing a sales team.
Achieve major global targets for hospitality and revenue across multiple projects
Establish distribution and sales partnerships with institutions including domestically and internationally, international travel agents, venues, host cities, and others. Activate and manage these partnerships to drive commercial results and product accessibility.
Bring new, creative sales and revenue generation ideas to OLE
Develop prospecting and outbound sales strategies and tactics to help generate millions of dollars of revenue
Quarterback the sales team and distribution / sales partnership network by motivating and incentivizing the organization to deliver sales for several thousand – inclusive premium experience packages.
Lead revenue optimization by identifying opportunities to maximize revenue streams across new channels and markets.
Contribute to the pricing strategies tailored to diverse global markets market, considering factors such as demand elasticity, local economic conditions, and cultural preferences.
Utilize advanced analytics and forecasting techniques to project sales trajectories, assess pricing strategy effectiveness, and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
Demonstrate the financial acumen and analytical skills necessary to review sales data, develop revenue projections, and evaluate profitability.
Set complex, value-oriented sales commission and other incentive structures for internal teams and external partners.
Champion real-time monitoring of financial performance metrics including revenue, expenses, and profitability, and implement and adjust strategies as needed to achieve financial targets.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, revenue management, roles, sports and entertainment industry experience preferred.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth, managing sales channels, and optimizing profitability.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to drive results in a dynamic and competitive environment.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
Experience with CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and financial management software.
Strong business acumen and understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape in the sports industry.
Willingness to travel frequently (50% of the time) and work flexible hours as needed to accommodate project requirements.
